How far on a tank of gas?

I have a 17ltr tank, and normaly refill every 200-245km, I could get a little further. But for some detail on economy, my last big day ride covered some 1350km and the bike was fairly frugal. click on link to see it bigger

Have had 358 from the Connie on a good day and with at least a litre to spare (22L tank). The VTR is still a bit of an unknown but definitely is thirstier - usually looking for gas at 240km or less (19L tank).

Once put 19.8L into a 20L Bandit tank - no worries, still had 200mls left...

Mine's a greedy biatch... usually get about 160 before the light comes on... althoug i very rarely stay at a constant speed (18L i believe)

21 litre tank on the Sprint which usually gets a refill soon after the warning light comes on at 3 litres to go and that's usually in the high 300's.
Possibly nudge 450 if I ran it to the bitter end

I've managed to do 275 before hitting reserve on the Scorpio. Not often that I stick it out that long though.

On my BMW R1200GS Adventure, 36 litre tank (was 33 but 10-second mod takes it up to 36), ridden not exceeding 120 km/h, 650 km. Chch to Te Anau without the low light coming on.

Transalp 650 normal riding approx 330-340 km. Worst was 240km which included a track day at levels and the ride too & from ;-)

Hmmm at about 290 the little yellow fuel light lights up on the 'Busa...don't trust the speedo though , especially on my bike where 100kms indicated is probably closer to 94.

For the record I had a new Camry 220 a few years ago and managed a long trip to Dunedin and back and with the petrol light scaring the shi.t out of me pulled over and filled up. 880 kms on a tank (70 liters) ...that was cool = 7.95 l/100kms

SV is supposedly a 17 litre tank and she does 20km per litre, so 340. Most I've ever done between drinks was 310km.

Just did a test on the R65 - it went onto reserve at 304km,but filled up with 18.5 litres,on a 22 litre tank.So that's 4 litres of reserve,a bit much really.So it should go to around 380km without leaving me stranded.

I picked the the 350 to 400kms on the Kwak.

I once did Te Puke to Gisborne via the Cape in one hit thanks to my fuel stop going south at Te Araroa. I was deep onto reserve when I got to Gissy at night 430 kms later. That was on 98 fuel and nursing the throttle from the Cape was not the way I wanted to ride it.

Coming home from the Burt Munro, I had to switch to reserve at 101 miles, 162km. Using reserve would prolly get another 20km.

Not really an issue, though. Only used reserve once on a South Island tour.

I get to about 250 and really start looking for a petrol station. I have never hit reserve and I don't have a light that comes on so I would presumably cough and splutter then have to find the reserve switch. I'm at 276 at the moment and can't decide whether to fill tomorrow or just take a fuel can and find out the distance the baby VTR can do.

Not in this case Anthrax - I am specifically interested in distances between refuelling stops - which is relevant when touring...km/l doesn't tell me that.
