If no money has changed hands yet, there is no reason that it should if it turns out to be a lemon
It probably will be fine,(touch wood) but if its not fine just say that he hasnt stated the faults, if any, in the tm ad and it isnt whats advertised so and leave
    but good luck
we may just go where no ones been

a couple of my mates say the KTM rear suspension is a nightmare because it doesnt have a linkage setup, is it realy that bad or are they just biast to jap bikes?? ive only ridden one once before for about half an hour on an mx track, i didnt realy notice a huge difference from my CR250.

Have them replace all the bushings, bearings and seals in their linkages, then you replace your single lower shock mount bearing, then see who's wallet thinks linkless is a nightmare...

As with all suspension, re-spring & re-valve to your riding style, then forget about. Some of the PDS stuff over the years has been a little quirky in their performance, but there are plenty of suspension tuners that know how to make it work really well (and also know how to set up the std stuff to minimise the issues) eg danger.
    Cheers,
    Colin

ha ha ha yea i gave them shit about only having one bearing to change at the bottom. ive done a linkage bearing replacement before and its a pain in the ass, little bit expensive too. ill have the last laugh. ive never had any of my bikes suspension set up just for me before, i might look into it. cheers.

I find them good, my 03 needed a little tweak but my 08 was very good in standard trim but it is even better now that Moto SR gave it the going over.

The first few PDS shocks were pretty bad (i had the '98), but the later models are leaps and bounds ahead. They work well, but only as warewolf said - if you have the right spring for your weight, and have the sag set correctly. Danger is indeed your man for troubleshooting.

A huge ammount of info is available on the bikes on www.ktmtalk.com if you havent found this site already.
