Then I shall, God willing, be there with my hair in a braid.

Don't forget to take water. Moar water. And ropes.

    And food. And moar water.

Did there ever appear a support vehicle / quad with some rack space? Just worried about the fuel situation is all. Have a small jerrycan i could bungy to the seat, but if we have some gear carryin space i'll chuck the big can in for MOAR funsies

OK. ffwabbitt's all packed. I've got my No 2 tool kit; water;rope; tiedown; bungees; spare fuel can; lighters; food;moar water; jumper cables (y can;t push start a bike on sand) ;moar water; chain lube; degreaser; WD40;moar water; puncture repair kit (but I haven't got a small hand pump - if someone had one of them it would be real good).Moar water . Small torch to signal to rescuers. Maps. Compass. Moar water.

Anyone got a decent first aid kit?

    IMPORTANT

it appears the roadworks on symonds street have reduced it to two lanes

so just skip straight to bp kumeu, leaving there at 11 as per the plan

piratejafa will be at symonds to pass this message on - wearing fluro vest, riding black/dark silver vfr400 with obvious crash damage to the rear of the bike (rear ended)

i will be waiting at kumeu in what is now to be a purple/silver double cab ute with canopy and two or three blue yamaha motox bikes on the trailer OR a white hiace full of yamaha

sorry about the late notice, but i didn't realise the works would be this bad
