    I just covered the entire bit in sealeys knead-it but it didn't do the trick...
    It's around the fairing mount so I can't cover it much otherwise I wouldn't be able to fit it back on.
    Got a new tank on the way this week with the rest of the stuff, this tank has given me so much strife...

    good effort guys

    i was surprised to see the 400s could do the whole trip one one tank, even if only just - it would appear the trick is not to crack open the throttle and to travel at half throttle rather than full throttle. go figure

    slyer - i initially thought that was a leak but seeing as you had just hosed down the bike.... shoulda txted when you left a puddle on my driveway

    and here's the pics i took to justify the litre of fuel (cheers ixion) i spent climbing the dunes.

    there could be another one of these with an excursion into the dunes at the bombing range - might bring the bbq too, as the old man reckons he'd drive the ute up to carry gas/food/wounded etc
