When tankers with trailers are useful...

Went for the regular morning ride this morning under threatening skies..I could see rain out West which is where I was planning on going. Headed out along the near deserted road and "hurried" just a little to get to my Eastward turn before the rain got to me. Not being stupid mind but probably in enough of a hurry to annoy the LEO's. As I approached my turnoff point I got behind a milk tanker plus trailer. Thought to pass but decided to await the turnoff instead - was raining by now and roads were newly wet so caution to the fore...Just as I reached my turnoff point there came a wailing from behind and there in the mirror were the disco lights on an unmarked car...which proceeded to blast past me (and the tanker) in pursuit of who knows what or whom...So I was thankful that the tanker had slowed my pace a little, else I might well have been designated "naughty"...

More likely he had more important things to concern him... YOU did not feature, nor would have, if you passed the tanker.... but you did the wise thing with a tanker and trailer in front...in the wet...

Yep, given the time of year, extra stresses etc one could easily assume he was on his way to some kind of domestic...

Too true. Must still have domestics on the brain, got home last night (this morning ) to hear a couple having a good go at eachother out on the road, though they managed to sort it out happily before I got concerned enough to make a call
