Thanks for all the help and pms after my crash

Hi guys and girls. Dont know if this is the right thread but I just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone out there that has called or pm me to see how I was after hitting a truck in Riddell Road on the 30th Dec.
A great big thank you to Team SMC (Squiggles, Hungus Maximist, Pirate Jaffa and the lady with them who is a KBer but forgot her name) Who came and brought my bike home for me.
Ok here is what happened....... Going home along Riddell road fantastic afternoon riding towards GI went around a bend and there was a truck pulling out from a driveway.
cant quite rember much but as far as what I have been told I hit the front right side of truck...... then the curb along the foot path and was stoped by a nice tree. Was KOed so woke up in the ambulance.
Lol I must have been in a daze as I gave my home number to a lady who rang gabby.
Gabby arrived to find two ladies in bikinis checking my signs of life lol.
She told them to remove their hands lol. I asked her later if she got their numbers or photos as I cant remember a dam thing.
the nice lady that rang heard the bang from down at the park ran up called police and ambulance and Gabby and stayed by my side till the ambulance arrived.
had xrays of neck, sholder, side and knee. not bad only 7 stiches in left knee and brusing too shoulder arm and leg.
Great to see my gear did the job that was needed. Shame they cut my gear off though lol....... Had to go home with a sheet wraped around me.
Kiwi bike insurance has been great. No replies from swann yet but filled out the claims form tonight and sending it to Dave at kiwi bike and to Swann.
Hopefully get some results in the near future.
Bike at home now looking a little sad. But I just cant believe how well I came out of it. After seeing the marks my helmet made along the road- curb-footpath to the tree. HLD Helmets are not to bad at all. good crack on the inside to show it worked.
    AGAIN THANK YOU ALL.
    Bruce

We'll take you up on your offer of baked goods at some point - but the best reward was seeing that you're okay and still walking around (fit to ride even - you should teach other people how they should crash!).

Dave and Donna at Kiwibike have always seemed like good people to me, and they were prompt and professional with my claim - hopefully you will receive the same service.

Look forward to seeing you on a new set of wheels soon.

Dude, glad you're okay - let me know if you need any help.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Good to hear you're ok... couldn't help notice the irony in your post though. If this happened to me a certain three events would have happened the other way around...

    Damn

Good thing you're still in one piece. Are you going to be off work a while? (natural assumption) If so I'm working out GI way - might pop in and say hi and drink your coffee.
