well, i made it!
i spent day one riding around auckland till about 1pm on Morcs bikes.
i made it from auckland to kaitia that day (9 hours)
the next day (yesterday) i made it from kaitia to the cape, then back to kaitia, whangerei, and down to orewa. (15 hours riding straight)

90 mile beach was hard going on the way back, the tide came in and i rode at 25kph-10 on soft sand for about 2 hours, i binned it once.
the scooter got up the stream pretty well.
on the gravel it was pretty uber.
Some people thought the ruts in the road from 90 mile to the cape were too rough, and it wouldn't make it.
the scooter sits in the garage of sixpackback.
i would like to give my heartfelt thanks to morcs, the locals at kaitia, sixpackback, and all my stand in camera crews.

the movie will be uber, with a max speed of 55kph

Awesome achievement. Did you manage to pull the front up?

I accidentally wheelied my old scoot once, but couldn't stay on the back.
Too much throttle starting off, and the exhaust had just been modded.
The front shot up straight away...scooter was bouncing around the carpark in circles while I held on running behind it.
Thankfully I eventually managed to lay it down on the ground without hitting any cars...
