I've always been laughing at people who give their bike a name. Thought that was pushing the 'bike love' a bit too far. But recently, I found out why I should have done it myself.
It all started with an innocent question from my girlfriend (the real one, not the bike): "You didn't give your bike a name, now, did you?". I very naively told the truth with a big laugh. The next thing I know, my bike has been nicknamed 'The Bitch'

The correct rejoinder in this situation would have been "At least she puts out cheaper".

I named mine mountain thunder. . .just cos its manly! ha! and its the name of a red wine (mulled wine mind you). . . found that out after naming the bike though. . maybe its destiny!
