I've been amazed in the last couple of weeks the amount of rider's I've seen wearing shorts & t-shirt/singlet. Only one without a helmet though, and he was wearing Samoan Safety Boots.

Having said that, it's their skin. My only issue is that WHEN they come off, their ACC bill will be much higher, and that just gives them ammo for the higher premiums we bikers pay.
I figure car drivers must be Apes. All they do is sit in cages all day & grunt

I was waiting at a red light to turn left in to Boulcott Street. A Cyclist comes up looks both ways and then crosses the intersection on a red light. Then right after that anther cyclist sees the first doing it decides its safe doesn’t even bother looking and goes ahead to cross the intersection.

I see this all the time. Cyclist’s seem to think there push bike does not have to stop at red lights and follow the road rules like the rest of us sooner or later I am going to see one of them get hit. Oh and then there are the cyclists that don’t wear helmets.

It is a case of perception..... Just like car drivers think motorcyclists are nuts.

On a cycle you are very aware of your abilities, and it is like running between cars and stopping and running across the next lane....
You can go from zero to 30 and back real quick, and then power away again.....
Now, the second guy who just assumed.... Well, there is a real nut... Or he had a brain fart.

Following the road rules like the rest of us? Insert a Tui.

    As for no helmets..... Sheesh!
But there are some who still believe they are better off without them....

Came off once and he didn't learn a thing from it? I guess some riders are a little hard of thinking.

Very famous quote uttered by one Enzo Ferrari to a slightly bemused looking Alec Issigonis upon the former taking the latter for a quick squirt round modena in his newly aquired Mini Cooper and ripping off the rear view mirror.

True story, and for some strange reason Enzo loved bloody Mini Coopers.
