Riff Raff to invade Wellywood, New Plymouth then ride back to Orks

Now some of you might have gathered from the not-so-subtle hints that I've been throwing around that I will be getting a new bike soon, and that I have a trip planned to Wellington. Some of you may have even put two and two together and worked out that I am going to Wellington to get the new bike. Well you were right - give yourselves a pat on the back!
Soooo anyhoo - the plan at this stage is to fly down to Wellington on Wednesday (someone please remind me to book a flight), meet my new bike and hand over a large sum of money that has been clogging up my bank account, and stay the night in Welly (Slipstream has graciously offered me a bed for the night). I am hoping to catch up with any Welly mob who might be available on Wednesday night - I have no idea where tho. Ideas/suggestions? I then plan to get aquanted with my new beast on a ride to New Plymouth to see my parents, stay the night there and then ride back to Auckland on the Friday, or maybe even the Saturday. If anyone will be riding in any of those directions on those days then it would be nice to have some company.

Hi, I've just checked back into the site after being away all week until tonight - 4,756 posts - I don't think I'm going to read them all. I'll miss you this week as I'm off away again on Tuesday - meet you some other time then.
    Cheers

RR: I've got a "do" till around 7.30/8.00pm on Wednesday, but if I know where you guys will be at that time I'll pop along to say "hi" and check out the new bike. (we'll be in central Wgtn)

Does someone want to organise a time/venue and post it?

Sod the courtney arms they wouldn't know a biker from a (choose the most obscure thing you can think of and place here!)

Come and see me at Kitty O'Shea's I will make sure you are looked after and that the staff know you are there!!

I'll throw in a few bar snacks as well ;o)

As for RR how are you getting from the airport to your new toy? Depending on what time you get in I may be able to pick you up if needed.

    Gaz

A big Thank you to Marty at typeface for sponsoring me to have a go in my first race

We opened in December 93 down there, I was the first employee running the kitchen. We then moved it upto where it is now, way before courtney place was the place to be!!!

Hope to see you there ;o) even if you have to go to that other place first!!!

I feel so loved :love2: Now who's the best looking - ah that would be you, Slipstream, of course!!!! I appreciate all the offers - it's so wonderful to know that there are people out there who will welcome me and treat me to some pretty top notch hospitality!
And yes people it is this Wednesday, 16th that I come down. I just hope the bike transportation people who are going to take the Rebel down turn up tonight. If they don't then I'm going to have to ride it to Welly on Wed - how long will that take?
As for Wednesday night - I put myself in all of your capable hands for a venue.
Can't wait As soon as I have finalised my plans I will let you all know
