Talking Where to try your ZX14 top speed

So since I get myself a new bike, virgin (with 0 km on the clock) ZX14 , with some minor improvements from factory specs, such as yoshi pipes, hehe, ok ok showing off is finished , back on topic, what I am after is a piece of road to really squeeze the throttle on, just a straight and long, say a runway in airport, so I'm not gonna loose the license for 200+ speeds. So once I finished with engine break-in I want to try how it feels on 300

Here is my new baby below

Id say your best bet would be a drag strip, just get your launches sorted and keep her pinned

    Nice bike and well wear

I got my busa up to 265 on the back straight at pukekohe, dont really want to go any faster, wind kinda puts you off and im chickensh!+. you could wait for the speed trials that pop up every so often.
Is it still speed limited to 299?

There are a few places where you can do it, sadly, none of them endear you to the local fuzz...

Doesn't take that long to get there btw, so don't imagine for a moment that you need a 9 mile salt flat or whatever...
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

you would need at least a couple of ks,there are some long straight roads over the wairarapa.....the sprints held a few weeks ago would be the place, but even those woulnt let you get to absolute max speed....you would get to mid 200s pretty fast though...

Your airport idea sounds like a good one - other than the obvious risks/problems with doing anything over 140 on a public road, hitting anywhere near 300 would be best done on a fairly smooth surface.

Also - high speeds should only be experience on a naked bike - then you really know you are hauling arse (or so I am told....) there's nothing better to strengthen your neck muscles.
