    Unless marked for parking (or not marked, like dotted yellows), they revert to a standard lane. Like any regular road with no parking restrictions, you could have vehicles parked on the left, and therefore the lane becomes effectively unusable.

    I can't find the actual study but did find this in the waterfront plan for auckland.

    From https://www.waterfrontauckland.co.nz...an_Y.pdf.aspx/
    Where there weren’t
    gardens
    filled with kumara and taro,
    the native bush would flourish with branches bending
    under the weight of plump birds such as kererū. Numerous
    taniwha or spiritual guardians, such as Ureia, once dwelt in
    the waters of the Waitemata using the reef off Point Erin to
    scratch its back.

    So ... were you alone or did you have a passenger .. ??
    Yes.... I can read english.

    You gave me a list:
    Passenger Service Vehicles;
    Cycles;
    Motorcycles; and
    Vehicles carrying at least two people.

    I was alone on my Motorcycle.

    And back in my car days I'd skip so many queues when people didn't read the damn sign!

    The Tamaki drive transit lane in a great queue jump - T2 6:30 - 9am. Usually still a queue after then though so just jump in the big empty transit!

    So? You're still legal on a T2 without a pillion as shown in the list above.

    If the cop can't see your passengers he's going to presume you are guilty ..

    Can you read OP?
    Any vehicle with TWO or more people in/on it, can use a T2 lane.
    Another totally pointless thread.

    What luck ... I have two ... two or more vehicles ... one is even a motorcycle.

    I'm just glad I'm not in Auckland .... in Paradise I can go by myself (if I choose) anywher I want on the mainland roads.

    So basically cyclists in the T2 lanes are illegal, unless they stop at the bus stop at the top of the road and get a passenger to sit in their handlebars?

    Great reading comprehension Fjrider.

    Perhaps it's best to cut us loose. I dont want to run the risk of you driving on Auckland roads
