    Motorcycles "Legends" in your area?

I have head two stories in the last week of a guy on a Busa in Taranaki that rides full tit for what i hear is most of the time, i havent ridden with him myself but from what i have heard hes certainly a good rider, albeit maybe one with a death wish.

Either way i would class him as a bit of a legend from what i have heard.

Stories like monos at 180 plus, riding under an SP1 on a 160kph sweeper and a few other interesting tidbits.

Taranaki's version of the ghost rider maybe?

Hell, for a moment I thought you meant legends, not wankers.

No Mongoose " Legend " Chased him the other night on a group ride .Told
FunkyFly about it . Some great skill with what he was doing on a Busha .Not just the speed he was going but the cornering angles & speed for such a large bike was Topshelf riding . Was left to chase & watch which I didn't mind
Called it quit's after sitting on 270+ for a while & let him going on to do his own thing . From what I'm told this is how he rides most of the time .

Must admit my comment was mainly on the undertaking at 160kmh on an open road on a sweeping corner.

Sounds like a certain ZX12R rider up this way...ran his bike in - 1600 k in just under 10 hours...only speed he seems to know is throttle pinned.....but hes not that great on a track...!

A guy Chris (i think its his name) some sundays rides a 150cc 2 stroke up the rimutakas kicking ass, dosent even look like he is going hard. He beats some of the 1000cc, they are half way down and he is at the bottom. Its like a walk in the park for him lol.

He used to have a CBR600 with a 900 engine in it. Not sure what's happened to that, I think he may have crashed it?

    Being frustrated is disagreeable.

    ....repeatedly.

Chris is a nice young bloke but there is a huge difference between hooning up and down the same road 20 times a week and riding quickly on unfamiliar ones.

There's a group of four or five guys who "hide" at the cafe at the bottom of the hill, lying in wait for other riders heading up the hill. All in the hope of showing off how small their brains are and how bigs their egos are. It gives me the shits.

I've said it before but I'll quietly mention it again to those involved.

You are a bunch of cock suckers! Grow up, fuckheads and come join some real riders on a race track!

Agreed entirely. 20 years ago I would have said legend.. today (having survived) I have seen the error of my ways.

There used to be a record (12 mins from memory) from the northern roundabout in Stratford through to the top of Egmont Rd (Lepperton turn off near Waitara, coming down through the back way into Inglewood then down the main drag to Stratford.

Whoever held that record was a leged... I'd also be very surprised if he still hold the title of "living"

Fast is fun, I don't disagree... but save it for tracktime.

Most legend guy I know around this area rides an RG500, MINT AS! He rides it gentle, doesn't speed in group rides, and even installed a warmer to warm the bike up before he starts it, so far has 40,000km on the clock with current build (and it has 100+hp rear wheel). He's real nice to newbies (me) and is an all round great guy.
