Dude - that should be the planting of gixers.

I must say, even though I haven't ventured far afield* (or even in any fields) lately, I haven't had any problems for a goodly while either.

    * I meant "on my bike". Although Mrka was non-troublesome in any case.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Hmmmm. There is plenty of evidence around here of crashing gixers, but only one of planting a gixer (iirc)...

Perhaps the rider was hoping to return and harvest some mini-moto or pit bikes?

Audacious, but someone's gotta do it. Justified claim, methinks.

Buller, Takaka Hill eg are similar, but there are more 'great' roads there than other regions - maybe.
Was thinking the same thing... so I offer Marlborough as a region. Stretch that from Nelson to Port Underwood, the ratio of tight windy stuff to straight is pretty high.

There lots of good roads no matter were you are in NZ, that's what makes it so good. Except for the Canty plains. I say we sell it to the Russians, Christchurch would make a good 4th island - but then all those Antarctic vessels would have to put in at Dunners instead. Can't see a downside??
