    New perspective

As I was riding through town on my scooter the other day, I was passed in the lane next to me by an RG150.
And I realised - my bike is really really quiet. When I'm riding mine, even when not in the powerband it feels as if it's making a ton of noise, but this one passed by me as quiet as the grave.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of new perspective on their bike by seeing someone else riding the same model?

you ever had your own rg150 ride past YOU? It may be somewhat similar in decibel.

I don't actually know what my bike sounds like, except from the pilot's seat.
Since I bought it, no-one else has ridden it.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Likewise. But it sounds better with earplugs in - don't hear all the mechanical rattle then....leave the plugs out and it sounds as though it is falling to bits...

The VFR's the same - probably worse, in fact.
As good a reason to ride with a helmet on as any.

Yep the SV is a noisy old crate, but I've followed another one up the Ngaraunga Gorge down here, and they sound pretty good, even with standard pipe on!

My bike sounds "smooth"..... but is pretty quiet.

I tried playing rev sounds in the lyttleton tunnel once, but got completely drowned out by Phoenix's ZX6R and Tacomans Gixxer.... oh to have a big bike with nice cans!
