What about Daytona 675? More like the CBR 600 as far as weight/ergos but with that wonderful 3 cylinder engine. Best of both worlds

No doubt both very good bikes, only way to find out which one is for you is to ride them both, for a day if you can.

Having only ridden one of those options I'd say go with the 600rr. It's a brilliant bike.

But it's your arse on the seat so go ride them and generate your own opinion

You gotta ride them and take the one that feels the best. What I like might not be what you like

They are extreamly sporty bikes. and somewhat pricy.

Take one of these bikes for a spin if you can
    - Buell Firebolt XB12R
    - Buell Lightning XB12SS

I'm not brand loyal to any bikes. I have test rident all of those bikes and sofare the one that stands out for me is the Buell Lightning XB12SS for Power, Cournering, Comfort and Riding Position.

Daytona 675 for sure =) But then I'm biased, they are just so damn sexy.

You go for the one that:

    1. suits your riding style better
    2. has the right sit position for you
    3. feels right to you and not to a heap of people who have no idea bout you.

Ok I'll give you my opinion after 13 months and 19,000km of owning the 600rr.

    Pros:
    Light as a 250
Most usable power range of the 600 IL4's
Comfortable ride position but still suited to the track
    Brilliant handling
    Amazing brakes and suspension
    Looks cool and turns heads
Somewhat unique as most people get something cheaper

    Cons:
Lack of cheap aftermarket bits in NZ (can mail order)
    Stock exhaust is pretty quiet

I honestly can't think of any other cons. It does everything bloody well.

Get the daytona (955). It's absolute hoot.
Very solid and stable ride. Luvverly engine with a sweet torque spread. Plus it sounds sexy as to boot.

If you ride the two back to back you'll find the CBR gutless and cramped.
But whatever floats your boat. You'll have to try them.

You should be able to get the '05 Daytona though for what you'd find an '07 CBR for. There were a few updates to the model between 03 and 05

As so many others already commented, try them. And see what suits you.

I personally would go for the Fireblade, Honda is a bit more reliable. But this is only my personal experience.

    Cheers
