    Kids MX Academy

I spent the day at huntly mx track today with the grand kids 2 x 5year olds and and a seven year old on a king brother traning camp the 5 year olds got every thing that they were told the 7 year old thought he could ride already.
The newest rider of the 5 year olds went hard only 4 hours riding before to day and he didnt fall off.The other has come along way since dairy flates in november 08 she just goes hard and ween she crashes she up and away asap.
the 7 year old got it together in the last 10 min of the day showing that he was paying atention today so much tallent out there and so little sponsers to take it further motor sport in general.
They all went home happy with the day and the yamaha acadamy cap and poster

good to hear the little ones getting into it, hopefully mum, dad, grandparents and whoever else wants to support them will carry on supporting them as long as possible! on the sponsor note, it only gets harder once the older generation stop paying and riders are forced to make do with whatever they can afford to get their hands on, unfortunately mx in nz doesnt get big crowds and next to no tv coverage, therefore sponsors dont really get much value from it.

if there was 1 minute of mx / sx / enduro footage for every 5 minute of "v8 supercar" (big heavy sack of shit australian family car lookalikes) racing, we would have it sorted. but unfortunately tv crews to get their shoes dirty is a big ask, and recording enduro style events is even more difficult to do.

Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.
