That stream track is good fun and really muddy!
Did you try the mangrove track? its got an epic exit
After going over the rickety bridge and through the gnarly roots I knew I was in trouble when I saw the nasty incline on the stream track. I managed to get through the worst of it before I pumped out and slid sideways.

No we didn't get a chance to do the mangrove track, apparently it's the most challenging, we talked about it but when the Wicked Racing Team fronted up we got kinda sidetracked admiring their Husky's.

I just told the mrs about it and threw in the "horse riding" bit and she seems interested now

Already booked this years holiday but might try a boys weekend away with it later this year
Looks like a good mid winter break
Even on the old ones if you dont race serious and you wanna just go do the odd club day and smoke everyone on a big old 5hundy it great and if you get beaten you have a handful of excuses

Keen to go, Think we have kids motorx on Waitangi weekend so that rules that out. Anyway you will have to wait until your XR is up and running anyway.

The paddocks may be okay in the winter just not sure about the steep open clay trails in the bush. I reckon they could get pretty slippery.
There is no surcharge for your own bike at the moment.

My boy and I stayed a long weekend last year. Mike wasn't there or his kids but the "help" went out of his way to make us welcome. Great food, comfy bed, Sky for the league, rode a TT125 no charge as much as I wanted, looked at cows being milked, checked out the pigs, played with the dogs, walked all over the place, snoozed in the hammock, had brekky on the house front deck with fresh milk on the cereal, wine with dinner, couple of beers, played ping pong, it goes on and on.

We had a ball for silly money. Highly recommended.

And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you.

The mangrove track is none too technical(unless going really fast) but has the potential to be very scary if ya bin off the side of the trail(drops off). Just the exit is very exciting.

I heard the pine needles track is a bit more technical. Never got to do that.
