Unlikely, though be a good call to get some ( alot of ) loctite & go for broke.
A certain pair of Pro enduro riders up here have a Chinese bike & they have tried with admirable commitment to break it & been unsuccessfull, they've damn near done a "Top Gear" on it & the thing still keeps going.
The one thing I would say though is Chinese bike is a pretty broad term, might pay to say what particular brand.
the bike in the profile info is a 2007 hummer, hence why i assumed it was one
Happy New Year, I see Whib's is still looking good, have not caught up with Mitchell since the Bel Ray, but curious to see what he says.
Regarding the china baiting, it was for sure fishing, it just kind of frustrates me the impression some people have that all Chinese goods are crap, when I was a kid it was Japanese, then it was Taiwanese, now it's Chinese, they've all changed as they matured & China will be no different.
Fully agree with yah and although China are at that point where they hold a strong market share (through sales volume of crap) they have yet to move onto the next market growth phase of brand loyalty and considering improving their quality - that part of capitalism they haven't adopted yet.
Forget racing it, It might blow if you rev it. Seriously mate , Take the advice, get on something tried and tested. Hell for that money you could get a decent KDX. You could race ,trail ride it and it would outlast most of us. In case you have already bought it.....please accept my apologies
Yeah, very best wishes to you also Nigel.
Yeah you are absolutely right. The term was of course 'Jap Crap' and at the time it was right. But hey, didn't that change.........
(Harley riders still use the term - but that' cos they feel inadequate, eh.)
Whibs? Looking strong and relaxed, eh. Bring on 2009.
PS: See Knighter got past Taddy after a bad start - then the BeeEmm clutch blew...............
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
Keep an eye out for Chinese company BYD Auto ( 10% owned by Berkshire Hathaway aka Warren Buffet ), they could easily be the leader when mainstream Electrical cars hit the market.
Oh one other thing, ever heard of Lenovo( In case you haven't, Chinese company that bought IBM's PC business a few years & are starting to really innovate ).
I guess what I am saying is I think that in an economy the size of China's there cannot be a generalisation, some elements are where you say they are, but others are alot further ahead than you give them credit for.
