    HUGE thanks to Biff Baff

    Hey everyone,

My dad wanted to check out a CBR1100XX in Christchurch... I sent Biff Baff a PM asking if he could do so... He then went onto send me an indepth review of the bike with photos....

My Dad has now just bought the bike

So he will be flying down to Christchurch this Monday to ride it back upto Auckland....

    Its a 2002 CBR1100XX in Blue....

Looks like i might be back on for some KB rides if i can steal the bike

So once again, huge thanks Biff Baff Cheers for that mate

Not a problem mate. It was a pleasure. After all - we're all one big happy family here. Most of the time.

So Biff Baff, did any cool bits happen to fit your bike?
Two Smoker, did you find out any more info on the CBR that your Dad had written off and then Red Baron resold? Were you able to find out if it had a new frame replaced? That sounded real dodgy, how they assessed it and basically had it written off and then managed to resell it?

He had a nice after market seat. It was embossed with CBR1100XX. Nice touch. Quite possibly maybe I'll give him a ring next week.

What is it with bar risers for Christ's sake? It felt like I was driving a bus. Nasty, horrible things.

Ok - for cruising I guess they have a place. But absolute shit for taking corners.

    Each to their own.

Oh and the bike has a genuine carbon fibre rear wheel hugger - very shecshy (to be said in a Shaun Connery accent).

Dads still following it up.... but i know the guy that bought it, and there is a disticnt object on the frame (namely a helicoil) to see if it is the same frame or not...

I keep being reminded that I'm not a Pom and shouldn't call myself one. Being Welsh we're apparently "much nicer, friendlier and more helpful" than genuine Poms. :spudwhat:

Quite so! Keltoi are not Poms! Wales, Cornwall, Scotland, Eireann, and Isle of Man are all Celtic - not at all like the Anglo-Saxon-Norman mongrels
