What's that ripping sound?

I would like to get my license, but I would feel more confident if I had at least been able to have a few goes on a bike, and get a bit familiar with gear changes and what not, and just to get the feel of the bike. I know they are all different, but it would make me feel a bit less geeky and stupid .

I'd just like to know where things are!!

Oh yeah, it's my undies

So I finally have that precious piece of paper (my learner license ) in my hot little hands. I go to the house where Mr Motorcycle lives at the moment, thinking "Yay, first legal ride!". Take Mr Motorcycle out of the g'rage and proceed to attach the 'L' plate. Look at rear tyre and go "What the hell is that!". Oh, its just a hole in the sidewall with a nice bit of inner tube bulging out of it
So no rideys for me and another bloody week before I can get out on the road and start terrorising Palmerston North

GAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

And we have no idea just how the hole got there.......
