    b) We had 2 top riders plus myself make this with the area we had(I have just spent a couple of days designing a new private couse and it is mint.

    c) We cannot remove trees so are stuck with what we have.

    d) We get top riders practicing everyday and they (the ones who can ride) love it for fitness training. Can you do 20 mins non stop!! It was never our intention to have a top course.

The course is supposed to be for good riders. I find the average rider struggles with fitness therefore we don't want them on it.

do those top riders pay for there bikes or are they hooked up,20 minute motos on that is a bike killer!

The Sandpit is what it is!!
Sand based forest riding! It is 100% better than it was! So lets not try and make it something its not, at huge cost. The work that goes into grooming and maintaining Ardmore and Harrisville MX tracks for each practice or meeting is huge. Not forgetting buying the bulldozer/tractor and sprinkler systems on top. Its a very very big ask for a clay or dirt based MX track at the sandpit. I say if you want MX/jumps join one of the clubs and leave the Sandpit to its GNCC style enduro set up! And leave the costs alone as well. You can ride MX at Ardmore on Wednesday and Harrisville on Saturday for $10 and enduro at The Sandpit Sunday $25.

I say leave it as is, your doing a great job Ktm boy! A new red trail every month or 2 is ok with me!

    Just my 2c
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

no ones asking for a big full on track or bagging the good work done, but a track or even a trail thats a bit wider than the rest so you have a few a few diff lines would be cool, just so you could pass and be passed safely, that old carpark area deff has potential

there is a good spot just needs a bit of clearing to the left where the road crossing is that could make a good jump over the road or at least out on to it and through the gate. just needs a bit cleared for the run up that would give one good sized jump with no real effort required appart from being carfull of others when useing.

realisticly there will never be a great mx track at woodhill, its sand, and its a forest. the sand pit is good for what it is, a sand pit

the sandpit's strengths are that its a big area with lots of tracks and that you can ride it in any weather - the wetter the better

its low points are that its sand, and that its sand.

take it for what it is, and its great, but if you want a good mx track, youd best be heading for harrisville or ardmore or taupo or something

throw an fmx ramp with 5-10meter gap and lots of pop in the old carpark. That should keep the adrenaline junkies happy. O and then invest in a medics station, doctors and naughty nurses with morphine on standby!

Hmmmmm, seriously though! Is that an option??
KTMBOY, would The Sandpit be interested in me bringing a ramp in...we would need to source a massive load of dirt for the landing ramp...50cubic meters ish! What da ya say???

I have a ramp! and its a serious fuckin ramp. Only thing is that we would have to place it so the landings are up a hill otherwise the crusty novices would put us out of business with the ACC costs.

Ambulances have been few, 4 in 20 months which is a bloody good safety record.
Black Duck Creek (google them) park 100km out of Brisbane have had 285 ambulances and 3 deaths in 3 yrs. I kid you not. The local council are going to close them down and this is something we'd like to avoid.

But yeah, come talk to me and we'll have a scout around and throw some ideas about.

I like the current mx track at the sand pit no jumps but there are plenty of places to go if you want to do jumps and you can get some air on the down hill
and where else can you go ride fo half a day without doing the same trail twice
