    No bike til Friday...

...'cause it's in the shop having forks done and waiting for springs to arrive..what will I do in the mornings now???? Might have to do something useful...like clean the house or something...

Jeez, you don't want to do that. It would set a dangerous precedent!

Maybe I should go for a walk instead...I could always make "vroom vroom!" noises as I walk...and then try and outrun the guys with the big net....

Clean the house? Psssh! You must have a helmet that needs the plexus, clean the liner, buff to perfection treatment, and some leathers that'd enjoy a few hours of gently rubbing in some leather treatment!

Yeah - the leathers sure could use some TLC...I have been putting that off for ten months now...

I got my bike back this morning after a month off the road. The blessed joy of picking it up during work hours, when you are technically being paid to ride. Add to that the phat torque of a big twin (after having only the odd ride on a 600 while mine was laid up), and the sweet sweet handling of an Italian wearing new tyres and a lightened load (in the form of a very skinny wallet) and I had half an hour of mid-week nirvana.

For the first time in quite a while, I'm actually looking forward to the commute home from work.

Well, at least during the next day or two you can cheer yourself up with thought of not being that poor bastard who was without a bike for a whole month over the height of summer.

Bike back tomorrow morning - as long as I pay the ransom...

I managed to resist the urge to clean house - mainly by farting around on the interweeb and putting things away...and then driving around aimlessly for a bit..."checking prices" of things I don't need...anything to avoid the vacuum cleaner...
