I hear ya...take a Nightrod for a spin, I am told they are quite something. I guess it really depends on what makes you tingle as far as the feel of the bike is concerned. Maybe describing some of your riding expectations would help those in the know?

I started out wanting the Superglide as my upgrade from the Sportster and ended up with the Streetbob and I now have about 15 000 km's worth of grin clocked up.
Only regret is that I didn't buy one earlier in life.

If you want a fatty, buy a fatty....You can fit progressive rear shocks in and heavy front springs if ya want....You just change your riding style to suit...Or get a Heritage which has all the extras and take off what you dont want...Fuck anybody elses opinion,If you listern to them your only buying a bike they like ,not what YOU WANT.. Soft tails have a solid mounted motor (88B)with a balance shaft to smooth it out.Dynas FXD etc have rubber mounted motors(88) same as the big tourers....Forget the sporsters..Go see Kerry Jeffs at KTL motorcycles in Morning side,Great guy ,no pressure and heaps of Harleys www.ktlbikes.co.nz .. You wont regret buying one...![]()

Ditto, I was glad to take it back to the shop, loads of admiration off Joe public but the ride was just unpleasant. Feet forward or arms forward but both together in the (clam position) was just daft and the over fat rear wheel didn't wanna do bends if it didn't have too. Not for me at all.
Oh bugger
