    Introduction - Paddock Pal

Hi there, I am currently going through the pain of motorbike licensing at the age of 46. Restricted so far. Loving my VTR to learn on, highly recommend one for any learner riders. Took it around the Coromandel loop on the weekend. Hubby was mortified when i pulled over to let tailgating cars pass by! But he was a very patient rider behind me holding back the V-Strom. I felt like i was almost lying down around some of the corners and my knee MUST have been about to touch the ground however i was probably barely passed upright. Lack of confidence at times is my biggest drawback but I'm perservering! Have a great bunch of riders to give me good feedback. Enjoying reading some of the threads and advice on the site thanks.

Welcome, welcome...Awesome to see another Auckers chick around, and especially one with such obvious great taste in motorbikes

Have fun around here, but just don't take anyone too seriously as some just love to bait new members for fun.
Hope to meet you at some stage on one of the rides...the ATNR is always a good place to start and meet some of the lovely folks on here.

We so don't do that. You are such a liar, V.
And one for the new poster too.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

This person should be treated with great caution as a mastermind in many areas... from mentoring and BS both alike in perfection but never together!

Ya wouldn't beat up a preggie lady, now would ya?

I remember starting out, you ride down the road a little way, start to get your confidence up a bit, give it a bit more throttle and it feels like YOU'RE APPROACHING LIGHTSPEED OMG.

Quick glance down (eyes up all the time, obviously) to check you're not creeping up over 110kph or something, and...

    32 it says.

And the speedo's probably slightly optimistic and reads high anyway.

But it does start to feel a bit more natural after a while - so good luck with practising and things.

oh and good choice in wheels too, incidentally :)

Very cool bike you have there, I LOVE mine. Got out the other day after a little too much time off the road and it felt like....well...I just gotta get out there more.

Take care out there. See ya around the site.
An experience cannot be proven, intellect and reason cannot prove the beauty of an awesome relationship with a motorbike.

Which of course was the correct thing to do.
It helps prevent someone taking a stupid risk to overtake you and possibly putting your life at risk.
