All in stock in the states, be here about this time next week... sooner if customs don't dick around with it.

As an aside, I brought a couple of other small goodies too... testament to the ability of a great website to encourage impulse buying. New Zealand business needs to take note.

Problem here is the NZ retailers have to go to the NZ agent, who of course does not have stock then the local agent has to go to the Australasian main agent, who messes around getting them a reply a month down the track you find they can get it 6 weeks delay etc, rather unhelpful.

I heard of a case where the NZ supplier ordered so many units of a popular electronic device that was taking the world by storm and it was duly shipped to the main agent in Aus, they found they were running low and fast as this item was so popular so they grabbed most of the shipment to NZ leaving just 8 units to head over here out of an order of thousands, when the NZ agent kicked up a stink they were told tough cheese we needed them and we have now sold then all.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

They were unhappy with themselves for letting me down, and made a few phone calls and rang me back quite promptly. Doesn't matter in the end, they're not available locally, and the supplier only orders once a month, so my saving money and time by buying from the states was the recommended course of action. I appreciated the honesty (about the supply line) rather than being fed a line, I expect they'll still be getting my business come dyno time
Not saying it was, just that having let you down acouple of times its one way of making it right?

Yes, that was the case here... can't say the retailer was too impressed either, I clearly wanted to spend money ASAP.

You can't win - I have been dicked around by overseas retailers a few times. At least you have a bit more say if the product wrong / faulty and you bought it in NZ.

Fortunately I've been to this store in Cali before... they're super organised and have a reasonable site. Also in their favour, other KBers have dealt with them with excellent results too.

PC3 was my guess too. And I didn't pay $700, more like half that.
Oh that's right, I got mine from the USA...

Is it one of those LCD handle bar mounted screens for a PC3?

Yep, it's pretty ridiculous. I've waited since the 12th of July for a footpeg for my motard... that's Husqvarna though.

Can't remember how long exactly, but it was at least a couple of months to get my mitts on a new wing mirror for the Kwaka. I don't hope it'll take them that long to get me a new waterpump if I'm going to need it.

I must say however, that the long delivery times have not been caused by the people I've been dealing with myself. Rather it's the NZ importers that aren't on the balls and as a result they make their agents look bad.

I waited 12weeks and longer for Kawasaki parts....The longer ones still havn't arrive and they promised me them Xmas 2007....

But still a little boy waits,

Its like they have never heard of a Freckin Plane.....
