What to check after an accident?

    Hi
I am a newbee to this. I was cleaned out the other day, a car got me. The bike sort of looks ok and still runs. So apart from replacing all the broken plastic what else should I be checking?

Car got you? Take it into a garage to get an assessment, then let them deal with the car's insurance company.

He didn't hang around and I was on the road having a wee moan so didn't see him. Just getting prepared in case the excess doesn't cover it

?? If you have full insurance, and the costs are more than your excess would be, you pay excess, ins company pays the rest...

it depends how you got cleaned out, how the bike fell down, as to what damage there could be... pictures might help

I'd check where it was, do some homework eh. See if there are any cameras that might have seen it, ask any local shops or banks etc..

If it was a hit and run they'd nail the car driver for sure.
