Post your pictures of YOUR adventure bike....

Lets see the set up of all of our bikes, lets see how we have tricked them up and lets see what we can learn from each others set-up, get some comments, some help and some "holy shit, that looks great!"

There are a great number of talented guys and gals out there and I am sure we have passed each other on the roads sometime. It could also be a good thing to identify us when we whizz by....

Now that I am back in the land of the living I can complete my post...

There are two different Husaberg bikes there, one of them has a long range tank on it and I get over 300km to empty, which is great but I don't want to ride it that far in one hit of course....
The KTM is probably my favourite go anywhere machine, great range and reliable as hell....
I remember someone saying somewhere what makes a bike good, is it reliability or durability? I would say the KTM is both, parts are cheap and it certainly is durable. Testament to this is the falls I have had lately on this machine

It just bounces back, and in all cases better than me!

Does this count? Givi wingrack. BMW/Kedo handguards. Heated grips and some crashbars off ebay. Hey I took it on gravel twice :-)

NZKTM is in the same town as me and I've never identified him :-)

Here she is, my mods are all centred around survivability...

big f*ck off bash plate hides the engine from boulders, case savers on the sides too (Thumper Talk).

12v always-on accessory circuit to the dash, fused at 5A for running my bar mounted compressor (will do tyres to road pressure piece of cake - might put a heat sink on there though). Will also set up a GPS mount for my Garmin MAP76. Also considering a dual driving light set up below the main light. Nordie how's yours work out? Worthwhile?

Oh, and custom header pipe to help breathe.

Cannot load pics for some reason, it takes ages then tells me that it was unsuccessful. Thought about throwing laptop through the window but don't think that would have got the pics up any faster.
    Ain't maturity a wonderful thing?

heres mine.two stroke, two cylinders,YPVS(thats a power valve to you diesel riders)big 320mm fuck off front disc with a four pot caliper.(standard issue)currently running OEM bridgy trail wings, but can also do road tyres nicely due to the (aargh)18"front wheel/17"rear combo.

modifications?bugger all unless you count a remote voltage regulator to aid cooling(the first one fried itself cos yamaha decided to put them behind the radiatorand a wee tweak to the tuning here or there thats secret squirrel.

more fun than a weasel down yer trousers and if anyone says its not an adventure bike i can tell you i have taken it to some pretty gnarly spots round banks peninsula.

Planning on doing the capital coast adventure ride on it next year, just follow the smell of synthetic, ill be in there somewhere.

oh yeah, and in the background is some four stroke thing BMW came up with.

here's my 640E last weekend doing a quick loop of central otago (4days/2200km), new screen worked at treat, complete with DB1K route sheet loaded for the new year unfortunatly managed to open up my thumb at work yesterday which required stiches to put it back together so looks unlikely that i'll make the 1k
