Road works on Scenic Drive

Had a pootle throught there this afternoon and from the turn off to Piha, upto the TV transmitter and a bit further on there are several sections of seal repairs. Each section is about 20-50 metres long, with road gangs and some loose metal about. One road sign says "Works end", you speed up and then around the corner there is more resealing. Bit of a nasty trap.

But that's some interesting information and quite dangerous as you say. Give the council a call / bollocking, you might save some non kb'er and get the contractor's arse kicked.

I did it end to end today and from Elevation through to Bethells nearly every corner is dug up, and some fresh tarmac going down in the middle. Its gravel and dust and watch it people.

Luckily, right now, it is completely un-signposted on all but very few corners.
Keep your eyes peeled up there.

LKR is in superb condition though!!!
