Where do I find all the local organised rides? (Auckland)

Hey guys, am in Auckland and wanted to know if there is a site where realatively local adventure type family rides are advertised? Emphasis on family as want to take kids. Thanks

Most bike shops have notice boards with runs, rallies. and rides.

    ^ as above,
I use silverbullet most of the time.
Also most NZ bike mags will have event listings to!
My choice is what I choose to do,
And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you.

It's good for events not just around Auckland if you don't mind some travelling.

Thanks for info guys, the power adventure event calendar is a goodie. Any comments on the honda ride near Raglan on Feb 1 or Maramarua Feb 8. Like which would be best for beginners?

You could also just go to one of the bike parks, woodhill, Thunder, Kimmi's etc and get in some practise. If you let everyon know you are going to head out you usually get a response from a few others on here who will meet up with you there. We (whole family) are looking at heading out to Thunder on Waitangi day, feel free to come along.

The Raglan ride is perfect for beginners, open farm land with pine forest and A loop options, can't really comment on maramarua except i've heard don't go near it if it's wet.

Maramarua will have options for beginners, is a wicked ride- the same as riverhead-a no go for noobs when wet although this time of year even with a bit is ok. just stay away from the suicide drop.!!!!! (echo)

Damn, I really want to see what Suicide drop is all about now. My first and only time at Maramarua I had the option of doing it, but went left instead of right. Suicide drop didn't sound inviting really
