There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

    A bit better.

    It was louder once.
But after hearing it bouncing off the limiter across a valley with a SuperTrapp 2" race core pipe mounted up I decided to go for a bit quieter

so anyone riding over here this weekend? I'm stuck with my two mini-me's for the weekend while Mrs Buggs plays squash. If there's another attempt on Mt P or Atm though I'll come along in the surf for sausages and hot coffee support.

Next time im going to try warewolf's suggestion of wrapping rope around the rim (worked for me on a truck) bugger the small bike idea , thats too easy.
Must get our communications worked out a bit better next time , because it was raining I didnt get my phone out till I got home to recieve buggs's message and he got home around the same time as me so it was fairly irrelevant at that stage , but good to know that they had managed to 'knock the bastard off'
The rope trick [ 1/2 inch tow rope] works real good as we had to do it on an fj1200 yamaha to get into Canaan downs some years ago for our mid winter campout ,took us over an hour to get 4 bikes up a hundred metre steepish climb, the Ural side car units made it with a lot of pushing and laughs and they were made for this type of riding in the land of Russia. Great fun in the snow though, I have been told by old guys that you increase trye pressures in snow -ice to keep the tread profile up where as in sand you lower the pressures to get surface area up , worth a try.
