Ha, cheers. I got gyp from Z and Topo for still having the exhaust restrictor in...realising it should also help lean the motor out a bit (correct me if wrong!) I whipped her out and bunged the ear plugs in.

There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

Yep. Less exhaust restriction generally means leaner.

Crikey, t'was a bit wet and sloppy down in my river playground today!

Was one of those "f*ck! if I stop now, I screwed, if I keep going then I might have a chance...or I might just be REALLY screwed" type moments!

she did well though, sank through the foot deep sludge to find something hard enough to bite on and just kept going!

    slight change in plans

Mount Pat, meeting Sat 12pm at SH6 / Northbank intersection. Might also do Altimarlock on Sun am. Have bedspaces avail if any Nelson freaks need a place to crash.

literally just got in and have stuffed my face full of warm food. Sorry to abandon you guys, but Kyle and I made it to the top just before 4pm. Then it started snowing and didn't stop the whole way down. I'll edit this post later with more of a report, but suffice to say, a 750 on dualsport tyres in the snow is a f*cken handfull!

I got home just after 6 and had a fun ride home .our road was a real mud fest ,ended up with quite a few good adv ride ingredients , mud ,dark , rain, strong wind gusts, cold
Mt Pat was great but I think I proved that snow and uphill on a heavy bike requires tread on the rear tyre ,nice to get out in the snow though

Nah sorry Jatzy, have canned that idea after today's efforts. That's enough riding and grunting for a week or so now...
