There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
Funny thing with snow is that it looks grippy.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
Was that Zukes? I thought it may have been Jatz & he enjoyed it so much he wanted to go out again tomm.
We turned around just past the Magic Fairy Grotto Viewing thingy (or whatever it's really called) about 2:10pm or so and got rained on basically back to Nelson.
That was a fun trip
Kneed knobbles on the back for that sort of crap though...
CT110
Zerax
Enchanted Lookout.
Lower tyre pressures might have helped, I was running road pressures. I was getting traction off idle but then wheelspin, despite trying all sorts to keep the revs down. 1st gear, 4th gear, didn't matter the bike behaved the same!!
Still impressed with the Bridgy ED661 front. It's worn to buggery but still grips in the dirt and is surprisingly confidence-inspiring on wet tar.
Cheers,
Colin

that was a real hard yakka..
few broken bits and bobs, but we made it to the top and home again,
i couldnt keep the ct straight, ruts and solid ground under snow, the snow itself, argh, was very frustrating
bent footpegs
broken brake lever
bent gear lever
chip out of clutch dome thingy, not important
fuckered rear brakes, bent lever that many times, and i think someything is fuckered in the drum area as adjustment is just gone completely.
footpegs stopped returning well enough so it was a real prick getting them to fold out while trying to move along, argh!
ct had a go at the twin too and shaved it of its wind bubble when i couldnt stop in time D:
what a day, ;D cheers cheers ;>
Nice one guys. Looks like funJust goes to show that small, light, low powered bikes are the way to go in snow. Lugzy had a TF125 when we did a snow ride behind Hanmer and he was getting round much easier than the rest of us. I want a SBC bike!!!
Cheers R

Looking at the vids I took and whenever Underground rolled back in his own tracks he got some good traction and was off.
Pity we didn't work that out whilst up there
Next time "snow ride" is mentioned though I'm wearing my good wet weather gear right from the start...
