    KLR steering head bearings

    has anyone replaced these bearings with needle roller bearings? part number please?

    They are taper roller already. You couldn't use needle rollers as they have no provision for end thrust.

    go to www.kawasaki.com, look down the left side of the page to owner info, then across to parts diagrams. You can search by year, model name, engine size.

    The part numbers you want are 92116-1009 Bearing, roller HR320/28X5 (bottom bearing) and 92116-0152 Brearing,hi-cap 32005JR
    it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
    those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

    thanks, i thought i had read somewhere that the OEM bearings are not up to it!
