Don't think the bird would have felt it at that speed. It would have made an impression on spank or at least his jacket. I hit a sparrow at 200 late one evening. Lucky the jacket is thick with plenty of armour on the shoulder but it still stung

We hit a sheep and lamb in our car a few years ago - killed them both.
It was one of my favourite conversation stoppers for a while to mention (while laughing) that I had wiped out a solo mother and her kid.
