    just a thought.......
We will have to come up with a plan closer to the time but I had planned another route home, If we leave early on Friday it shouldnt be to much of a mission and iff it gets to difficult we can allways turn back, not usually our way though ay.

    Question Baggage

I wonder if we could bribe someone to take a van or trailer from Otrahanga to Taumaranui with our gear, this would make the ride a lot more fun.

I'm a fan of doing this track that KSlider is keen to do - Matakriki? - in from the ParaParas out on the Whanganui River Road -if I've got it correct.

Consequently, I've revised my earlier intent of bringing my bimmer - I'll be wimping out and using the DR -so am on for the 42nd & Fishers also.

    cheers Aslan

Joe and AndyMac - sorry if this seems selfish vis a vis your intent to ride the full River Road and also come back via Forgotten World highway - I've done both several time and this track of KSlider's is new for me
those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind..

ive plenty of time to ride eather of theses roads,
so ill play follow the leader and are also keen on a little spice on the way up.
count me in for the Matahiwi track, which ever way we run it.
    its all good.
if kslider has taken the time to arange access to the track then im more than happy to ride along.

is it a private road that runs through farm land, or an old paper road, open to public.
