    Accomadation

Evening all, after some small deliberation I have decided to join this happy throng on what looks to be an outstanding aventure. Have rung the fine lady at the campsite and she informs me that heaps of tent sites are avaliable but also that some of the cabins still have spare beds. If anyone has a spare bed and is willing to share could you drop me a line please ta ever so

    Smile Auckland Riders

Are there any Auckland riders going to the King Country ADV ride want to meet and ride down together. I had planned to go early Saturday morning. What are your plans?

I am coming down from Auck, but heading down to just outside Hamiltron on the friday (afternoon/evening), so its only a quick trip on saturday AM. I figure its going to be a big enough ride without getting up early enough to ride from Auck.

    , sounds like a plan.
    I am staying about here(ish)

It's Crawford Road, just off Horotiu Rd.

As for the time, google maps says it will take me about 58mins to cover the 65km to Otorohanga, so I was planning to leave about 7:30am, but you are the local, what time do we need to leave to make it to Otorohanga by about 8:30am?

Hi Chris, you will be going straight past my place on SH39 Kakaramea Rd so could meet you and Neil on the way. It will take you about 45 minutes from where you are staying.
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time

We are not heading that far south into the Naki so its unlikely that we will meet up with any of them

Sounds good, was planning a back roads trip as much as possible, was thinking of having some fun on the friday and finding a backroads way down from Auck

If you have a bit more time this route is much more fun and mostly gravel.
done it a few times and it takes 2 1/2 hours from port waikato at reasonable pace.
