Gidday guys, I've been told to take A/L and was wondering if I could tag along on the KC ride.
I've got thursday to monday off but am wondering which bike to take, the DR or the BMW.

The DR it is then, I hope you guys dont mind loud its abit noisey!!!
hi - I have a similar choice of machine to you - IMO the answer to your Q depends on your confidence on the 1150 including the tyres she is shod with - me I'm a cautious old fart who at this stage is favouring the lighter DR for the off road sections - Fisher's Track and 42nd Traverse to name two.
When tackling off road on my 1150 I like the confidence a sharp set to TKC80's give me.
It comes down to what you're most comfortable on - the 1150 will be fine on the gravel. Best wishes Aslan![]()
those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind..
Yeah the 1150 is sweet in the gravel lots of fun but I'm only a little guy 1m 78cm and 83kg's I have to tip toe
Aslan how was your weekend away...![]()

Hi Joe - a blast - huge grin factor - did the Turakina Valley going North and the Whanganui National Park (River Road) coming South with a nosey into the first 7km of the Matahiwi Track from Matahiwi. Looks good.
Catch you soon - hope you have a great Easter - cheers Aslan![]()

Hi Marks, Pete has said that the landowner wants us to start on the track no later than 11.00 am.
So i am planning to meet you all at the start on the Parapara`s at 10.45.
Google earth says the track is 21 kms long so depending on the condition of it i would guess around 1 hour to complete.
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time
[QUOTE=young1;2019929]I thought it was you that flashed past me heading South on Sunday, around lunchtime you were heading south towards Bulls
Life shouldnt end at the grave well presented but rather, slide in sideways totally worn out yelling "shit that was a great ride!"
