Could also do earlier, but what is the problem with riding till a bit later anyway?
I guess getting dinner could be tricky that late, unless we could book in somewhere, pretty sure most places would keep the kitchen open a bit later for 10+ hungry riders.

I'm just about to sign up for this ride. So Joe, book a bed for me on Friday & I'm keen also for the Wanganui river ride. I would prefer to see the whole river road so i can cross it off the list of "been there done that".

Has anyone got a spare bed on Saturday at Taumaranui or I shall l book a cabin?

Otorohanga camp ground is a nice & modern place.

Other thought may be to stay at Taumaranui both nights then you would not have to carry any gear with you on the Saturday. Otorohanga is only 1 hour and fifteen minutes away

Yes Joe - Otorohonga it is - will work on best route to Otorohonga from the South and come back to you - I plan on taking the Friday and Monday off to travel to and fro. Cheers Aslan
