Life shouldnt end at the grave well presented but rather, slide in sideways totally worn out yelling "shit that was a great ride!"

Aslan was very kind enough and trusted me to be carefull with his DR650.
    cant thank you enough.
    .

Cheers Joe - glad you enjoyed yourself - look forward to getting back on the DR myself - feels like a tinker toy in comparison to the 1150GS - that said the Beemer the machine for getting to the ADV location - so hard to get the perfect bike eh?

    Day 3 for me.

    The 42nd Traverse. yea ha...

was so looking forward to ride this.
even better it was raining so knew it would be even more fun.
we headed off in to the unknowen for me.
met a group of mountian bikers at the start, we go first aye.... OK... shouldnt see them again....
deep in to the track buy first river crossing, herd a noise behind us.
WHAT THE mountain bikers caught us up...shite.
i was lucky enough to have a blat on eddies big bad bemmer.....ohh so nice. its mine now.....not.

track was great, good down hill runs pleanty tricky slippy bits, and use ya head parts as well.
    most enjoyed.

after lunch, rain was coming down quite nicely buy now.
so a few hardy silly buggers decided to do fishers track again in the rain....

was most fun i had in a long time.
lots a sweet mud, slippy clay, and i was taken out by a cowpad.... on the grass...
another great day in the saddle.
    soaked to the bone.
    back to motorcamp.

Finally got near a pooter , I still havent made it back to the mainland ,its been a bit of an epic month of over 7000 km everywhere between Te Anau and Whangarei . In wellington at the moment after a 2up ride down through Waikerimoana and a wet and windy blacktop 'adventure ride' over the Rimatucka's.
Thanks Mark for such a good weekend and your guidance through 42nd and a bit of a push up a slope .
Nooles ,you did a great job of tail ending ,must be hard for someone of your abilities to be last man in.
Good to put a few faces to bikes (not much good on the names)
    Great pics Edie and others
42nd was the highlight for me ,a proper adventure ride
Might catch up with some of you down our way soon cheers Jeff

Yeah mate, thats a $300 camera. Just hunt around till the right thing comes up at the right price. I bought mine just before the new models came out, so it was clearance stock of last years model.

Thanks Mark for leading a great adventure ride. I especially liked the 42nd. The GS Adv is a bit big for it and would be much better with a lower 1st gear. I'll try not to get so excited next time - still black & blue from my first fall going into 42nd.

I can recommend the GS Adv. All the electronics work and make a difference and it ate up the ks on the way down and home.
