With 29L of 98 octane up front I couldn't help but feed it to it, man she loves that stuff makes her bark like a dog yeah the tyres are showing signs of wear might have to turn the rear around to scrub off all the rubber at the rear of the knobs but they are holding really well to the road at legal sort of speeds

what sort of range do you guys get then? I have 28 litres on the KTM and get over 550Km, never run it bone dry...
750cc with 29 Litres, what approx?
I find if I ride it hard, it is still good, what makes it really thirsty are the trails, the on and off revs and sitting around getting stuck...lol
I am sure it will do over 600Km but will have to try one day...
    21km/litre approx....average

    Weather and Track conditions...

I reckon it is going to be fine boys, Matahiwi, Traverse will be good. As you have all said, the rain was merely a small amount and given the conditions around the East coast and the rest of North Island, the rain hasn't made much of an impact on the ground.....

Fishers could be damp as most of the track is cut into the hillside so we will get some run off, but the clay should be good....

Saddle them steeds up boys, it will be a good one!

I got 260km for 15L of 95octane, this was fast highway speed and head wind(South easterly) bloody hard to hold on!!
Today with 98octane I got 200km with 11L that was the River RD Parapara's etc quite comfortable speeds I love 98

On the ride if we are going to have fuel stops within 160km I might ride with 10L in her to keep the weight down and have more fun

if ya give it heaps of fat, like i used to do in the early 80,s
its possable to get the mud and stones quite high, so they go over top of every one.

    Departure time for Wellingtonians!

OK - message to me from KSlider - posting on his behalf

Leaving Shell Mana Paramata at 8am sharp - make sure you and your bike are fuelled and good to go.

GSers and Junkman Joe - we should see you at the Church Cafe Sanson between 9.30 and 10am - we'll need to keep moving sharpish IMO to be at the end of the Matahiwi in the Paraparas for an 11am start.

See you out there - cheers Aslan
