    Service recommendations in Christchurch?

Juergen and Heike (Germans touring NZ) have just sent me a text to ask where they should get their bikes serviced in Christchurch next week. One is an Africa Twin and the other a BMW. We don't know any service places in the South Island so I was hoping someone here can give me a few names and phone numbers so I can let them know.

Duanes Bikes and Ski's on Waterloo Road or Hampton Honda on Carmen Road both are within a mile of each other in Hornby. And yes Hamptons will do BMW's. Good bastards!

    Good luck.

If I had an Africa Twin I would NOT be taking it to the Honda dealers in Manchester St :(

Thanks everyone, I've just sent Juergen a text letting him know all that. In case he asks, do you have numbers for Duanes and Hamptons?

From the word on the street it seems that this is the most important advice when it comes to bikeshops in Chch...

I got another text from Juergen and he is keen to have his bike serviced at a BMW dealer so I let him know he has one choice in the South Island and another two (Nelson and Otago) are authorised service agents.

They're in Alexandra this weekend, heading north again in a few weeks I think as they want to take in the Art Deco weekend in Napier and the AmeriCARna show in New Plymouth.

Canterbury Rides in Christchurch is the official BMW dealer. Hamptons were Beemer dealers a few years ago so also know their stuff.
