They always seem to make these electric vehicles look ridiculous, but the performance is a step in the right direction.

I'm not sure what the range is like. But I'm sure they'll make it have enough charge for the usual Sunday ride.
Hopefully in the near future you'll be able to swap batteries with a service station, the same as you'd do with a gas cylinder.
240km/h top speed is plenty for the road in reality. But technology will continue to advance and I'm sure they'll be on par with the 600's, then the 1000's eventually, hopefully soon. The torque is probably already plenty to keep up with those bikes around corners thanks to electric motors having a flat torque curve.
U do dissappoint me. Here you start a thread re a elctric bike, you give us a web addy to go to. And you have not had a read of it your self. (Tounge in cheek here, no red rep sent!)
- The bike has a 150 mile radius (as stated in the article)
- At 240V the charge up is 2 hours and at 120V it is 8 hours.
My point was, that even if the bike is a neat toy, the price will kill it. And as not many will be sold no petrol stations will keep spare batteries.
Just another one of the umphteen battery powered bikes that will just not take off. I mean, what would be the advantage to buy this thing instead of say a s/h 600cc Jappa for 3K???
Certainly getting closer to a real alternative aye![]()
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
Hell no!
This one is what it's all about:

"I took the GPZ out for a ride,
the engine felt so good between my thighs.
Yeah it was cool, 40 degrees outside..."
A bit more of an expansive article with a few more images of said bike.

What I never get is people who design electric cars and bikes have some distorted view that the vehicles should;
a/ look like they belong in a cartoon like "The Jetsons"
b/ need a good going over with the ugly stick so that we know they're electric.
You don't have to worry about not hearing the vehicles coming you just notice people passing out around you but whatever you do don't turn and look.
Its a great achievement. Looking forward to future models.
