    I'm keen

Weather will be OK, looks like it will remain like it is now for the rest of the day, maybe a little drizzle but that's it. No problem!

I will be in the new car park near Frenzy (the bronze shark sculpture) at 6pm tonight for a ride, solo or not

    Hey All

I'm not sure If I'm going to make it tonight after all.
I've got a bit more to get done at work today than I expected.

If I'm not there by 6 don't wait around for me, I'll catch up if I can make it.

Well it turned out to be just myself and Andy Mac, we waited til almost 6.30 in case of late arrivals!

It was interesting, went quite a long way out almost to the lighthouse so did lots of nasty deep sand. Must've been having an off day today; tried going up LHS at Devils Gate for a change and binned it twice somehow managing to flick bike into neutral half way up both times , don't know what that was all about so went straight up the middle as per usual after that and went straight over no problem - very odd! Then did a silly cross track spin out and ended up thrown into a mud bank! Definitely an off nite LOL! But it was still good fun!

Thanks for the ride Andy - shame you can't do the SCAR this weekend but will see you soon no doubt.

Will look forward to seeing the rest of you on Friday at the BBQ or Saturday morning at Wainui BP!
    Cheers, Dave

I really f*#cked up on this one.
Despite good intentions I lost my one and only key to the bike at work that day, had to catch the train home and come back with a trailer to get the bike.

Luckily the key code was in the manual so I now have two keys and all go again. Very interested in a re-run at any time.

Yep, have been as far as the lighthouse ("Tongue Point") a few times with the kids riding their LT80's. It's a good spot and has the attraction of seals there all year round. Furtherest I have been is to Oteranga Bay where the Cook Strait power cable comes ashore, needs lowish tide though.

And oh yes, heaps of soft sand to get through, I tend to paddle a lot but have a few brave moments of power on and just blast through it like you should.
