    Bargain-bin sportsbike 900-1000cc?

Wondering on your thoughts of a bargin sportsbike 900-1000cc,the price v's performance. My thoughts are fireblades 929 and 954 or the same year in a gsxr1000, there are some real bargins out there.

My K3 is for sale for $8k, its got aftermarket suspension and a few things to gain a bit more power. $8k for a package that has excessive power and beautiful handling - I think its a crazy deal.

If you wanna get a Fireblade then get the 954 its probably the best 900cc CBR's that's ever made and is super light and sleek. GSXR1000 also a good bike. Depends if you like an easy bike to ride then a Fireblade will be good it just does what you want it to do. Suzuki's well the power is explosive in every gear....good fun and great bikes so just go ride them all and pick one.

There is a big difference between 929 and 954. I'd give them a socre of 7.5 and 9 respectively, with 0 being bad and 10 being good.

A good mate of mine bought sparkys 954 and I took it for a hoon.
Very confidence inspiring bike, Good power nice smooth delivery, Light all in all a nice little bike. How ever the GSXR does every thing the same its just got a truck load more power. More power = GOOD.

I'd save a little bit more and get an 04-05 blade instead of the 954. They are different like day to night.

Vastly different bikes, both motors are bulletproof (to a point)both on real world roads are way past most mortals ability so one would have to factor in what are you going to use it for most ie comfortable big mile eater or having fun,i would take a bike with higher kms but immaculate over a rough low km one.
