Flat tyre -- need it fixed tomorrow so I can get to work!

    Hi guys,

Somehow when I went to leave work tonight the arse end of my bike was wobbling about all over the place. Must've picked up a flat on the way there and it pissed all the air out while it was sitting on the stand.

Managed to get home in one piece by stopping at all the petrol stations on the way. Motorway was fun. Looks like it's come off the bead in one place.

So this is particularly convenient, as I need to get to work tomorrow as well (and do some running around because of Summer School) -- and isn't it a public holiday tomorrow?

Anywhere people know would be open? It's a tubed tyre so I can't just bung some glue in it or anything.

Not stoked with this BT45 on the rear. The front BT45 is great, but on the arse it's been particularly unlikeable. My Roadrunners never got a flat either.

No levers, no nothing (not even the confidence to have a crack )! It's not like I can nip down the road and buy some, either.

I have nothing to offer other than transportation. Sing out if I can help.

It looked fine from where I'm sitting when you went past tonight btw.

Cheers mate. Yeah I stuck 40psi in it at the GAS a few hundred metres from your house. Still handled like a wet sausage though, maybe because it's broken the bead.

Oooh ooh ooh! If there is nowhere open tomorrow, do you feel like taking a trip to Mangere Bridge?

There's cold beer in the fridge.

I'll flick you a txt with my address. When's a good time for you? I work in the evenings -- if you're free around midday (or earlier if your one of those sort of people) that would be peachy.

Thank-you, thank-you very much Mr President!

So naturally as Big Dave guessed, I wasn't smart enough to buy a spare 18" tube.

However Mr Squiggles reckons if we fail at patching, he has a 17" tube (also a 21"). I've heard of adventure bikers carrying a single inbetween sized tube and using it for both the front and rear -- so would a 17" tube work? Or is that just asking for trouble?
