Good point!
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
A true work of art.
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
I like this one![]()
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.
Nathan Woods R.I.P.
I'm going to ignore your comment on the water cooling bit James, and put forward my pick for the most beautiful modern engine.
The Moto-Guzzi MGS01 Corsa. Sorry Nasty if this pic is too big. I'll just have to wear the infraction. A thumbnail doesn't do it justice.

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Not at all. I was specifically responding to several comments posted in the last few months about modern, water cooled naked bikes and the lack of effort that goes into making what is usually a donor engine from a sportsbike look good.
You're probably aware that Triumph's modern air-cooled twins look very nice indeed. But they're not water cooled, and neither are they loaned from a modern sportsbike.
Yes, guys, I get it - Air cooled engines usually look good without much effort.

JD is this best of all time or best over the years?
L'arte italiana cammina su due rotelle!
No. Best Modern Water Cooled Naked Bike Engine. In a current model.
It was merely me stating my opinion. It isn't a fact, and there are no prizes for picking the "right" good looking engine.
I think Honda have done a great job of styling the Hornet 600 and the CB1000R. Conversely I think Kawasaki have made a Manga-mess of the latest Z750/Z1000 pairing.
Honda have done their usual "pictures don't do it justice" stylishly conservative job, while Kawasaki have managed to make a pair of bikes that look uglier in the flesh. My opinion though.

Does it look (Hornet) good from both sides?
Like, as in how Buell pictures always seem to be from the right (as seen by rider) not the left...
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.
Same engine as the SV650, not so Italian.
