    Cool My Paeroa extended weekend

    Saturday:
    Wellington - Wanganui - Paeroa .

    Sunday:
A day at the races & Night in Rotorua.

Monday Rotorua - Hamilton (New Michelin Pilot Power for the rear) - Waihi - Around the Coroandel loop [ cos I'd never done it before . . . nice ! New tyre officially scrubbed in & chicken strip = Nill ]

    Tuesday:
6:30 Start from Waihi , down HW2 to Whakatane, Ohope for Breakfast, Opotiki, Around the East Cape (Cant get 96 Octane at Te Araroa any more) to Gisborne. Onwards through the inland route - Tinoroto (Formerly Highway 36) to Wairoa (nice to keep off HW2 but favours discretion over exuberance in places !) - Napier, Highway's 50 / 2 & home to Wellywood. Bike in garage by 8:20, rider in bed by . . soon !
Was only just over 900 K's today but the body's feeling it !

Ballpark of 2500 K's over the 4 days without any roadside tax assessments or deviations from verticeal.
    It's not easy being Orange!

    Great stuff

Good to hear, but you should have donated to the needy in Napier - I did!
    Got any pics?

Sounds like time better spent than I, at work...

Holy shit, what are you doing home with a couple of day's leave to go????

We, we found over Christmas that it's only 91 at Te Araroa now (but lots better than nuffin!!)

It would have been great weather for the East Cape ride yesterday.

It'll do that if you fit a 150/60x17 to the R1

If I rode all week I’d need another new tyre for S.I. next month.

The chores at home unfortunately don’t do themselves even when there’s no significant other continually reminding you they aren’t done yet.

    Must go & de-tar, de-chip & de-bugsplat de-bike.. . holiday ≠ no work. :spudguita

No wonder I haven't seen the R1 around. Hope all goes well on the SI trip.

nice ridin it's fun while it lasts, huh? But you sure do feel it after a wee while! Well done on not donating too (never thought I'd say that! (Not in that context, as in, not to donate. Always donate, cos it's often for a good cause.. but not like that.. so well done..))
