Screen suggestion?

I'm thinking of getting a screen for my Yamaha Scorpio to reduce the amount of wind pushing against me (amount of city/motorway riding is probably around 50/50). I'm looking at a few things:

- This one on TradeMe which mounts on the headlight, is 23cm above the headlight and $95.
- Various Givi screens from Cycletreads. Not too sure which one is the best as there are too many options, and I'm not sure how tall I would want the screen to be (I'm about 180cm).

What would you guys recommend? Looking at the TM one and the Givi A210 at the moment, as I don't want something too wide and tall, but the main concern I have is whether something like the one on TM or the Givi A210 would be tall enough (practicality versus aesthetics?)

Don't know what will work for you, but i do know what I did for my little Aprilia.....
I got a bit of acrylic (see through "plastic as used for screens) available in all sort of colours and tints..
And started shaping it....
It bends realy easy when it gets hot enough..i.e heatgun....
I ended up with a screen that fits quite well and takes off all the wind of my torso.(huge improvement)
It still hits my helmet though, so I will give it a go for a few bucks and a bit of my spare time on my Mark 2....
Clamp some shaped cardboard onto your mini screen to see if it helps....cut and reshape until it does the job...

Now there's an idea... haven't thought about making one myself. Might look into that when I have the time. Where would be the best place to look for acrylics?

yellow pages...should be plenty of outlets to choose from in Auckland. half a dozen or so in Christchurch.
They sell any size/thickness/colour you want...
