    Becuase they is knob-ends.

Though I'd be the last person to have any insight into the HD marketing cult . I haven't worn a Harley shirt since the day I saw a group of instant bikers all dressed up in the full generic biker costume stutting around like peacocks..., Johnny Rebs and Bandanna's included.

I use my bike to ride away from large groups of people and built up areas, Not to congregate in large groups in built up areas.

Its enough to make me buy a Triumph

....If Triumphs didn't suck that is.

Don't get me wrong, I like some HD models. It's just the "religion" that goes with them that irks me.
... or have I got it wrong about H.O.G. ?

(Anthrax, ta for your above reply.)
The bikers I know (some current HOG members) refer to the more commonly observed HOG members as 'RUBS' or 'Squeakies'. Rich Urban Bikers or Squeakies in reference to their shiny new leathers. My mates have little to do with them and only remain members for the annual pissup, discount on parts (as small as it may be) and the contact with like-minded HOG members who don't do tassles and studs. There are quite a few sub-groups under the HOG umbrella and some good folk among those groups, many ride big k's annually too, often overseas. Squeakies they ain't.

Then go get one, they aren't likely to get any cheaper than they are now.

I was being a little tongue in cheek, and while I do avoid everything H.O.G related I do know a few who are good guys.

Though I draw the line at people who talk about the Harley "lifestyle"

    Wank Wank Wank.

I suspect they're just Policepersons on the way to their annual facy dress ball.

Harleys are the greatest bike for getting up peoples wick and upsetting them - hence why I ride one.
AND why I wear tassles, great dick-bait are tassles, just great...

I've heard on good authority that Policepersons don't have balls...fancy dressed or otherwise.

If it keeps raining like this, the Harley folks will be contracting out the Thunder Ride to the Japanese and Euro bikes, rather than getting their chrome wet. Oh the horror!
